At Stockdale, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is embedded throughout the curriculum, giving students opportunities to connect their academic learning with professional practice. Rather than relying solely on classroom learning, students engage in authentic, industry-informed experiences that help them apply their knowledge, develop professional skills and build confidence for the workplace.
Through progressive learning experiences, students are encouraged to think critically, solve real-world problems, collaborate with others and develop the professional capabilities expected by today's employers.
Industry engagement is introduced progressively throughout the course, allowing students to build their knowledge and professional skills over time.

Depending on the course and unit of study, WIL opportunities may include:

Capstone Project
We value meaningful industry engagement as an important part of preparing students for professional practice. One way we support this is through a Capstone Project, which provides an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills developed throughout your studies to a substantial, real-world IT project.
Where appropriate, Capstone Projects may be undertaken in collaboration with industry partners, giving students exposure to contemporary industry challenges and professional expectations. This experience encourages the integration of technical knowledge with critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
The Capstone Project provides an opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities through a significant portfolio piece that reflects your ability to address complex problems in a professional context.
